I am not particularly organized (or at all!) so apparently this genetic trait got passed down. My tots’ arts and crafts table is pretty sad, they hardly have room to do anything. I’ve tried boxes, buckets, and special trays. So now I’m trying this, the Boon Stash organizer. It has different “cups” to organize various tools and crayons, etc. But that is, of course, it is used properly. If this does not work for my tots, I am going to (clean it and then) use it to organize my makeup! Or actually, I might just get another one for myself. I can put brushes in one, mascaras in another, lip glosses
in a couple of them, tweezers, lip liners – I can list everything but you get the idea =)

I have this in white and absolutely love it, not only for it’s streamlined look, but also for its convenience and practicality. I have mine hung on the wall above my baby girl’s changing table. Inside the cubbies I am able to store all kinds of baby items: hand sanitizer, binkies with their caps and little clip-on tethers, q-tips, baby headbands, and her multi-vitamins. All of these things would otherwise be in a drawer, but now they are right where I need them and they look so much cuter in this than on a typical white shelf.

I bought this in black to try to organize the assortment of baby items taking up space on my kitchen counter — bottles, cups, etc. I use this placed right on the countertop, rather than wall-mounted, since my wall cabinets don’t leave enough wall space over the base cabinets to accommodate something like this. Although it did tidy up some of the clutter, it seems like it conquered only a small portion of what I have lying around on the counter on any given day.

Its footprint is actually fairly large, for an item that’s meant to organize and streamline. Space-wise, it takes up just as much room as the collection of bottles and other baby items I previously had lined up on the counter, but even with this organizer, I still have some things that didn’t fit that are still taking up counter space. (Which would probably not be so much of a point if I had been able to wall-mount this, but really, who wants to put baby bottles on the kitchen wall?)

The four largest compartments are wide enough to accommodate the bottles I use — Born Free wide-neck bottles (both the 5-oz. and 9-oz. sizes). There are two other compartments that are *almost* wide enough to hold these bottles, but it’s too tight of a squeeze to be practical. I’m still not quite sure what to put in these two compartments. (I stuck a little plastic cup and an empty Cheerios canister in these two spots, but really only because they were sitting empty.) If you use standard-sized bottles (not the wide necks), these would work just fine. As it is, I am able to stash two 9-oz. Born Free bottles in the top row and two 5-oz. bottles in the bottom row.

The compartments in the bottom row are pretty short/shallow, however, so even the 5-oz. bottles stick out a bit more than I’d like. For this reason, and to take up less room on the counter, I wish this had been somehow designed to be wee bit more vertical when placed on the countertop, to make the bottom row of cubbies a tad deeper, and to have a slightly smaller footprint.

Can’t store sippy or straw cups with handles in any of these compartments — no room for the handles. I can’t say for sure, but I’m thinking older kids’ cups without the handles might be too wide to fit as well.

As for the small compartments, I sort of wish there were more than three. I put my daughter’s dropper bottle of liquid multivitamins in one of these small cubbies, some straw-cleaning brushes in another, and some baby spoons in the other. The two small ones in the bottom row are, as mentioned, fairly shallow, though, so the spoons stick out a little.

Maybe as time goes by I’ll figure it all out and find the *perfect* thing for each spot, even the short, shallow ones, but for now, I’m sort of just OK on this for baby feeding items. It certainly is easier to look at than the previous mass of stuff sitting out naked, but I’m still left with a smaller mass of stuff sitting out naked, and not really enough counter space to put a second Boon Stash. I guess it’s time to purge my cabinets again to hunt for extra space.
