    use anise seed they are sweet smelling dont use tobacco not good for you. you could add sweet spices from your pantry enjoy.

    Hey, i’ve had this same problem. :]

    it might be one of two things :

    (a) clean out the hookah. i know it sounds a little too simple, but i promise it’ll change your entire smoking session.

    That white ashy substance needs to get out of there, stat. Get yourself some baking soda, lemon juice, a cleaning brush for your stem and base and go to town :]

    (b) It could also just be that your body needs a rest. for about a week i couldn’t figure out why i couldn’t even smoke the dang thing. i couldn’t inhale a lot because then i’d start coughing. Once i took a week off of smoking i was back to normal!

    (c) off topic, but still. If you think you’ve got a cheapie chinese hookah then it’s probably going to rust on you in about a year. Not only that, but it probably doesn’t smoke as well as others. it’s like comparing a mercedes to a pinto. Try these QUALITY hookahs:
