The material of these brushes is really fantastic, the bristles are very soft. However, these seem to be all odd sizes, not quite what I had expected. The largest brush, which I intended to use as a loose power brush, isn’t as big as I would like. I feel like I’m smearing the power on, not dusting. The next brush has a really small little handle or “nub,” it isn’t easy to hold and the brush part is actually too large to use for blush as I had intended. The other 2 brushes, which I thought I would use for eyeshadow, are actually too large for eyeshadow – if you want any control that is. Great material, not very useful.
WHy do so many Arab women do this?
Why do many naturally tanned Middle Eastern actresses try to make their face pale by overuse of powder? Especially the ones from Lebanon and Egypt. I mean you can tell its fake by looking at their tanned skin on their body and when you look at their face it looks Brush Hooka like a clown painted it white with a brush. I dont find that attractive at all. Professional make up artists discourage this because it makes the skin look unnatural and cause immature wrinking due to overuse of the skin's cells. I am not arab but when i go to hooka bars i notice this from the music videos. No offense but it looks creepy. Most Western women dont do this, they just put powder that matches their natural skin tone. But many Arab women in the videos do this. Natural is so match better looking, do you agree or not??? I would love to hear more opinions about this. Thanks

I have always loved the Mason Pearson boar bristle and nylon brushes. They are, however, far too expensive to replace when my 6-year-old and 9-year old daughters keep losing them! I searched high and low for a good alternative. Some didn’t actually brush through my hair, just made it frizz out. Some were too hard on my head and fine hair.
These brushes are fantastic- I’d give the brush itself a four star, but because they come in beautiful jewel tones that my daughters were delighted with, I give it a 5 star. When I gave my girls one apiece, they spent the next couple of days hugging and thanking me over them. Seriously, if I knew an inexpensive brush would get me that sort of gratitude, I’d have given them one long ago!
The brush has short, brown bristles interspersed with longer white nylon bristles with a little plastic ball at the end so it is gentle. The long bristles really comb *through* the hair.
Also, my daughters are *so* picky about brushes because they are mixed Caucasian and Japanese and very thick but relatively fine hair. They love how these brushes feel when getting their long hair brushed out. I highly recommend these brushes!
I bought this for my older daughter who was going abroad for graduate school, based on the reviews. I didn’t realize she aready had a brush that she liked, and figured I had wasted my money on this one, since it would only rarely be used during her vacation visits home. I was pleasantly surprised when her younger sister laid claim to it, and was gratified to hear her rave about how this is the best brush she has ever owned, and how amazing it is. She has masses of long, fine-textured hair that is wavy and fly-away, and she says that the size and bristles of this one are perfect. I have bought her many, expensive items that didn’t generate anywhere near the excited reaction as this very reasonably-priced brush!
This brush is very pretty (I got the purple, though I was kinda hoping for the blue), and just a really good brush. It goes through the hair smoothly without breaking or tearing , and feels good on the scalp. Very happy with this purchase, and will probably order another, hoping for another pretty color.
This brush is a lifesaver. My daughter is 7 years old with a very tender scalp. In the past I’ve had to use de-tangler spray, wash her her and use loads of conditioner before combing out, tried wide-tooth combs, paddle brushes, etc and always had tears flowing by the time I was finished. Yes, I was being as gentle as possible (even sectioning her hair off and brushing a little at a time, very painstakingly). Nothing helped, until I bought this brush. It has worked wonders for my daughter’s thick hair. We can brush her hair every night now without tears, thank you Revlon. I still section her hair off and brush a little at a time, but it’s a breeze with this brush. HIGHLY recommended, I’m about to buy a couple more in case they ever discontinue them.
Ever since hearing a lot of hype about how boar’s bristle brushes are better for your hair, I’ve been looking for a good quality one to handle my shoulder-length hair. Upon receiving this brush, I was moderately surprised at how wide the brush was–however, it works really well even for shoulder-length hair. The bristles don’t fall out easily like what I’ve seen from some boar’s bristle brushes, and the hollow center allows for faster hair drying. Also, it de-tangles amazingly well! It’s the only brush that gets rid of my bed-head very well without needing to re-wash my hair. The only con is that it doesn’t quite curl in my hair as well as I’d like.
I dont like it all, it does nothing for my hair but make it frizzy. I still on the hunt for a good round brush. any suggestions?
I have shoulder-length naturally curly THICK hair. These are the only brushes I can use to straighten my hair without “pulling my hair out”. I started styling with one brush and now do my entire head of hair with four of these brushes. Best I’ve ever used.
I have shoulder length, naturally wavy hair, but it looks much better when I blow dry it straight. I’m not a fan of straightening irons, and I recently got my hair cut with lots of layers. I have a round metal brush, but my hair is very thick and blow drying took forever. I decided to try this brush because I have heard good things about ceramic brushes. And..WOW! My blow dry time was cut in half, at least, and it did an amazing job of straightening my hair. Very VERY happy with this brush.
My daughter is just about to become a teenager and is starting to experiment with wearing makeup. Instead of forking out big bucks on professional full size brush kits I decided this would be a good starter kit. The brushes are soft and silky feeling. She is able to apply her eyeshadow with an airbrush soft look instead of looking like it is caked on. The tapered angle brush is great for applying powder eyeliner. Perfect size for her to take along on sleepovers or on trips.
Very nice set for a very affordable price.
I bought these for my best friend for Christmas, and she loves them. They’re a great price and perfect for applying makeup.
I mostly use pastry brushes for just that: brushing melted butter over pastry specifically filo. I was really getting sick of the bristles shedding from my traditional bristle brush and was hoping that this brush would help. Well it does accomplish that: there is no shedding whatsoever. However, it is not as gentle as a bristle brush and pulls and tears the filo. It also doesn’t spread the butter on the pastry nicely, more like uneven streaks. It seems to hold a fair amount of butter but the amount that actually gets deposited on the brushing surface is small. It is easy to clean though, so I’ll give it a point for that.
So if you’re buying this to use for actual baking/pastry applications, I’d say this is not a good brush for you. However if you’re using it for brushing melted butter on a pan, waffle iron, etc. then this brush would be fine for the job.
