I use mine to check firewood before I buy and there is no doubt that it works well for that purpose. I split the wood to check the center and compare to firewood of same temperature that I know is dry. My seasoned oak/maple reads ~20% and burns great; but wood closer to 30+ range is a waste of money, time, space, and effort. I no longer mess around with wood that isn’t ready to burn.

I agree with the earlier reviewer that I can’t vouch for the absolute numbers, but the relative readings do make sense.


can you have tobacco at camp woodward?
I may be going to camp Wood Ward Wood Tobacco soon and I need to know if there is restrictions on cigarettes. And if there is do you think I could get away with having dip?

    a class inexpensive tobacco pipe. It has the tendency to get clogged, so a few screens might be beneficial, but otherwise a great product and seller

    Bought it to measure the new solid hardwood floor I was planning on installing. It didn’t read it at all. It didn’t even read the plywood underlayment that I had in the house. It worked fine on a tree in my front yard….avoid this lousy meter unless you are measuing softwood or firewood and are you are OK with a +/- 10% margin of error. Plus, four pins were hard to insert. Dissapointing. Going back.

    I never bother with negative reviews, but this meter is a complete piece of junk simply because it’s incredibly cheaply made. Mine worked for about ten minutes. Save your money.

    I purchased this meter to check the moisture content of my firewood. I gave it an honest try and apparently my wood is tinder dry because the reading is always 00% even freshly split! The instructions are a joke, can’t even begin to describe there vagueness, or lack of english. As soon as humanly possible I will be shipping it back. I truely hope that I got a defective unit and everyone else’s experiences are genuine. I won’t be purchasing any more products from this company.

    First off I am very upset and would not recommend anyone to order from this seller. ((Rollingforce))
    The product they sent me looked used and smelled like horrible chemicals. I tried to have contact with them via email to introduce myself and ask a few questions before my product was even delivered. They never responded. I paid over 16.00 to have a pipe that is suppose to give enjoyment and a relaxing time. Instead I get a product one box damaged a little and the pipe tip cracked around the seal. Both pipes were discolored around the bowls rims and smelled like chemicals. The bags they offer are cheap and have a odd smell to them. The picture showed pipes with the letter s on them but we did not get them pipes because there is no s on them. I figured hmmmm maybe they smoke better than they look and smell. We tried it out. I was so made because each puff you take burns your throat with this chemical that i think comes from whatever the cheap discolored bowl is made of. Knowing China it probably is filled with lead. To make it worst I tried it again after dumping out my expensive pipe tobacco and refilled the bowl like a fool cruising for a bruising and got a lip and mouth filled with liquid brown nasty and gross. I took the pipe stem out to make sure the washers were in and they were but they were wet and filled with what looked like a brown fluid. I carefully slid the bowl out and stuck my finger down into the shell of the pipe to discover black tobacco condensation at the bottom the fluid back up was bad and that is what got all over my lips and in my mouth. I was very upset to say the least. If you buy this pipe only stick it in a scare crows mouth or the snow man you build next winter. I really wish i could have only said wonderful things about this seller and the pipes they sell but I cant. They did not contact me and they mislead on the product being new and the performance of the pipe. They advertise one pipe and sent another. Still have not herd from them
