Should I be a Biology major or Chemistry major?
Hey so I started out as a computer engineering major and I hated it. I am still in that major but I started to take science classes about a year ago and I love all of them. I messed up my gpa my freshman year and basically blew off school the first semester of my sophomore year because the girl I loved rejected me and I had no idea where I was going or what I wanted to do; I was basically super depressed. The second semester of my sophomore year is when I started taking science classes. My gpa right now is a 2.38 and I am 99% sure that I will get at least a 3.5 this semester because all I have left are finals and right now I have a 3.8 for this semester. I am counting on the last 60 hours gpa rule that says I can put either my total overall gpa, or the gpa of my last 60 hours on my resume. I have no aspirations to go to graduate school or med school. I am already going to graduate a semester Hookah Choose late, and that is if I don't decide to do either a bio minor (if I become a chemistry major), a chem minor (if bio major), and/or a business minor. I will probably choose at least one of these. My question is that I am currently trying to decide whether I want to be a molecular and cellular biology major, or some sort of chemistry major. I really don't want to just end up doing the same thing every single day for the rest of my life. I wouldn't mind working in lab, just as long as it is something I enjoy, and something I can see real world results from. (neuron signaling, water treatment, GPA.) I would also really like a job that I can move up in. A little more about myself is that I constantly wakeboard during the summer, I am getting into rock climbing right now to give my self something to do during the winter, I work out and run constantly, I placed 3rd at the national power lifting competition my freshman year of college, I wrestled for 4 years of high school. I love the Austin, TX music scene and I always try to go to any remotely good concert or venue. I am attending Texas A&M university, but I definitely want to either go back to Austin or out of the state/country after college. I love eating healthy, even though I constantly smoke hookah (drugs excluded, the only thing I take is adderall) and drink every now and then; and I am kind of a humanitarian even though I don't like to admit it. I also really love philosophy and psychology and would have picked those as my major if I thought I could make any money at all. So I know y'all probably don't care to much about this stuff but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for me at all based on the things I've said? Harsh comments are fine I need them, any advise at all would be awesome, I'm stuck. Also, if there's any good jobs that pay good and you think I might be interested in, throw em at me. Thanks
